Description

Perennial climber with fleshy, corky stems. Thin, fleshy roots hang down from the branches. The skin-thin leaves are 5 to 10 cm wide and heart-shaped. The racemose inflorescence has either male or female flowers. The red drupes are the size of a pea or a small cherry.
